How sadly fitting, that the person who sang one of the best Christmas songs ever, should die on Christmas day.
Rest in peace, Eartha Kitt.

This made me so sad.
Me too, Brian.
Amen!
Best Christmas Song EVER!
What an amazing fit, her voice and that song. Just purrrrfect (<— Cat Woman reference, y’know
).
Oh my gosh. I saw her at the Jazz Alley in Seattle about two or three years ago. Wow.
Wow! I can’t believe you saw her!!! She was one of those people who fascinated me when I was a kid, one of the cultural icons who made the sixties so cool. Her Cat Woman was way more sinister and intriguing than Julie Newmar’s, and every time she was on some variety show, she just seemed so exotic and unique.
Did you know she was still performing until the very end of her life? Amazing, considering she was 81.
She was mighty sassy! I remember her from my childhood too. Thanks for the news, I hadn’t heard. What a weird little video though, huh?
Happy New Year Moonbeam!
Um…er…I just looked at the video without sound, because my computer is still keeping its Vow of Silence.
Oh my gosh, Im just now seeing this and even hearing that she passed. I cant believe she was in her 80s…
So sad . . such a beautiful artist.
I heard of her passing a few days ago . .thanks for adding this post, McQueenie.
